The Men’s 4.5 Senior team won the state title in Hattiesburg. The TOCC players on the team are George Beemon, Don Dupuis and Chevis Swetman.

In April, Burleigh Harwood participated in the 70’s singles Southern Hard-court Championship held in Augusta, GA. There were 16 players in his age group and he placed 5th overall. He won the consolation finals.

In May, Burleigh participated in the Clay Court Championship held in Jackson, MS. He played in the 70’s singles and was one of 19 players in his age group. Burleigh finished 5th overall, winning the consolation finals once again.

Hats off to these great competitors!!

TOCC FREE JUNIOR CLINIC

June 4, 5 & 6th Ages 7 -16

 

This is a free clinic for junior members.

Ages 6 to 10 from 9:00 to 10:00

Ages 11 to 16 from 10:00 to 11:00.

Call 875-0086 to register.

 

Having a Pool Party?

Pick up pool party form in courthouse office (located by the tennis courts).

Call Judy Michaud at 875-8978 to check to see if your desired date is open.

3. Completely fill out the pool party form. Be sure to include the names of the lifeguards and the expected number of guests (1 guard per 15 people).

4. Return completed form to Steve Pennington at the courthouse office.

 

Pool Hours

Mon - Sat 10:00 to 6:00

Sun 12:00 to 6:00

 

After 6:00 children must be 16 or older

or be accompanied by an adult.

 

REMEMBER….

Our lifeguards are here for your safety - not as babysitters!

Tennis balls and noodles are not allowed in the swimming pool. They clog our filtration system. No flotation devices are allowed unless they are attached to the children (floaties, bubble, life vest). If you have any questions call Robbie Wrigley at 872-0775.

 

TOCC DAY CAMP

June 17-19 and July 22-24

 

Due to popular demand Steve will direct two day camps. June 17-19 and July 22-24. For those not familiar with the format; each camper picks three of the four activities (soccer, tennis, gym and arts & crafts). The camp runs from 8:30 to 1:30 with a lunch and swim break from 11:30 to 12:30. Campers are ages 5 to 16. The 5 to 6 year olds will participate in each of the four activities. A counselor will remain with the children and travel to each activity with them. The cost is $65 per child, $5 for each additional family member attending. Members may invite a non-member to attend as their guest. A camp registration form must be filled out and submitted to the club manager/pro, Steve Pennington, as soon as possible to guarantee a spot and the proper t-shirt size.

Steve and Bo will hold a tournament preparation clinic June 25 - 26th to prepare juniors for the TOCC Junior Tennis Classic. The clinic will consist of advanced drills, point situation and supervised match play.

T.O.C.C. Junior Tennis Classic

June 28 - 29

Treasure Oak Junior Tennis Classic is sponsored by the Hand Center of South Mississippi. It will be held June 28-29. We are excited about this first year event and are thankful to the Hand Center of South MS for being the sponsor. This MTA Sanctioned Junior Tournament will include boys & girls 10, 12, 14 16 & 18 and under singles. A first match consolation will be offered. Deadline to enter is June 24th.

TOCC SUMMER JUNIOR TENNIS CAMP

This camp is for ages 7 - 11. On July 8 - 10 the camp will run from 9:00 to 11:00. Cost is $12 daily per member or $33 for all three days. Non-members $13 daily or $36 for three days.

Soccer/Tennis Camp

July 15-17

Last year this event was a big hit! We will again offer a camp that includes one hour of daily tennis instruction and one hour of soccer instruction. Participants have the choice to sign up for both sports or for one hour of either sport. Ages 7 - 16. Cost $13 daily or $33 for 3 days. ($7 per single hour of instruction). Members may invite a guest.

Non-members by invitation only.

 

Ladies Day Round Robin

Friday, June 13th

 

TOCC will host a ladies Round Robin on Friday, June 13th from 9:00 to 11:30. Covered dish lunch at the conclusion of play. Tennis balls, drinks and snacks provided. Cost $5 each. Bring an easy dish or desert.
